Begin the New Year with an embodied ritual of movement, breath, and intention under the light of the Full Moon. This Yoga Mala is a steady, guided journey through 108 Sun Salutations—a moving meditation traditionally practiced to clear stagnant energy, focus the mind, and consciously step into a new cycle.
This is not about pushing or perfection, but about rhythm, presence, and listening inward.
Our practice will include:
• Moving through Sun Salutations in thoughtfully paced rounds, with options and modifications offered throughout
• Using breath, repetition, and mantra-like movement to build warmth, clarity, and steadiness
• Pausing between rounds for brief moments of rest, reflection, and intention-setting
• Closing with grounding stretches and gentle rest to integrate the practice and seal the ritual
Whether you complete all 108 or choose a number that feels supportive, you are invited to meet the practice where you are. This is a powerful yet accessible way to welcome the New Year with intention, vitality, and community.
A Yoga Mala is a ritual practice of 108 Sun Salutations, inspired by the 108 beads of a mala. The number 108 holds spiritual significance, symbolizing wholeness and the convergence of energy at the heart center (Anahata).
